Tamura

In 1994, Tamura Corporation of America acquired the product line and customer base of Microtran. Tamura had held a subcontracting relationship with Microtran for at least five years, manufacturing several Microtran products prior to the acquisition. Post-acquisition, Tamura consolidated identical and comparable products into a single product bearing both Tamura and Microtran part numbers. By implementing this "dual marking" strategy, Tamura has been able to seamlessly continue serving customers whose designs solely referenced the Microtran component number.
