Cutler-Hammer, a globally acclaimed brand in the electrical and electronic control gear industry, traces its illustrious history to 1892 when Harry H. Cutler and Edward West Hammer established it as the Chicago Electric and Manufacturing Company in Chicago. Renamed Cutler-Hammer Manufacturing in the same year, the company found its home in Milwaukee, swiftly establishing its reputation as an industry leader.
