In 1945, Carl Weller founded the Weller Electric Company in Easton, Pennsylvania, with the creation of the soldering gun, envisioning a tool to meet the growing demands of the burgeoning radio repair industry. The first soldering iron debuted in 1950, followed by the first temperature-controlled iron in 1976.Weller expanded its operations to Europe in 1959, and throughout its history, the company has continually developed innovative products for both consumer and industrial sectors. Weller's commitment to technological advancement is evident in its seven-person R&D team, which holds numerous patents and awards.In 2007, Weller University, a training center located in Apex, North Carolina, was established. The institution trains over 100 students annually, fostering a highly skilled workforce in the field of soldering technologies.
