Power Relays

Power relays are electromagnetic switches run by a relatively small electric current that can turn off or on a much larger electric current. A power relay switch contains an armature, a spring and one or several contacts. An electromagnet (a coil of wire that electricity flows through to turn it into a temporary magnet) is the heart of a relay.
