Parting and Grooving Inserts

Parting and grooving inserts are cutting tool inserts that are used for parting and grooving operations. Grooving usually is a process of forming a narrow cavity of a certain depth, on a cylinder, cone, or a face of the part. The groove has the shape of the cutting tool. In the parting process, the cutting tool is plunged directly into the workpiece to cut it off at a specific length.
